Guesthouse

The property comprises of two buildings: the main house and the ’activity/playroom’. The main house provides accommodation for 6+1 people and the’activity/playhouse’ (25 square metres). The property has a large garden and it is secured all round. The house is of the ’palóc’ style (a traditional village style cottage typical of this part of Northern Hungary) with its covered veranda, hipped roof and wine cellar. The property has been renovated in keeping with the traditional style and at the same time has been equipped with all modern conveniences.

Entering the house you arrive into an open plan room consisting of the kitchen, dining room and living area, typical of this type of dwelling. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, a microwave oven, a fridge, basic cooking utensils and china/glassware/cutlery for 10 people. A large oak table seats 7 people comfortably. Internet and full TV reception are also available.

Turning right you enter the traditionally called  ’Clean Room’, again furnished in the traditional style which can sleep 4 people in single beds comfortably. On leaving the ’Clean Room’ in the far right hand corner you will find a rustic but tastefully styled modern bathroom (shower).

Walking straight ahead, one will find the small bedroom tastefully decorated in light pastel colours of the Provance style. It overlooks a small cottage garden and is furnished with a sofa bed, built in wardrobe and has an en-suite bathroom (shower).

Heating and hot water are provided by central heating and there is also supplementary heating provided by a woodburner. Although the house sleeps 6 people comfortably, one extra camp bed can also be added. The wine cellar can be found below the ’Clean Room’ providing cool shelter on those hot days and an escape from the heat of the barbecue. This completes the tour of the main living quarters.

The playhouse, formerly the stables, is a 25m2 room and is suitable for family games, executive training and other indoor activities such as playing darts and table football.

At the end of the garden, next to a small brook one can find a table-tennis table, also garden furniture of a unique style, an outside shower for cooling down after sunbathing and a small secure shed for storing bicycles.
